South East Water AMP 6

Overview
As part of its 2015 AMP6 capital delivery programme, South East Water is investing in the refurbishment of 8 of its water treatment works and pumping stations. Redundant treatment works and microfiltration plants are being brought back into operation following a process of redesign and installation of various components of the water treatment cycle.

Each site is unique and the scope varies from pump replacement and minor civils works at Godmersham to the design, supply, installation, test and commissioning of a full water treatment facility at Hempstead.

Planancy Role
Planancy was commissioned in November 2014 to provide fully cost and resource loaded Level 3 Primavera P6 programmes for each of the 8 sites, to accompany the client’s tender submission under the NEC Contract.

Outcomes
The programmes were compiled from the specifications and outline design information provided by the client and required a depth of understanding of the water treatment process in order to establish the sequence of activities. The duration of each element of work including 3rd party consents, environmental mitigation and commissioning was designed to meet the dates set out in the tender documents.
