Project Fitzroy

Overview
St Andrew’s Hospital’s Fitzroy House in Northampton opened in 2016 and is the largest secure service for young people with mental health needs in the world. The building provides 110 residential beds, a school, sports and therapy areas and a number of activity and landscaped courtyards. It was designed with the input of psychiatrists, nursing teams, occupational therapists and the patients themselves to provide the best possible environment for recovery.

The main contractor on the £40M project was Galliford Try.

Planancy Role
Planancy was commissioned by the mechanical and electrical contractor, Interserve, initially to produce the NEC Clause 31 M&E installation and commissioning programme and then to monitor progress against the baseline on a monthly basis. Later in the installation phase Planancy reported against a sequence of compensation events using a variety of accepted delay analysis techniques.

Outcomes
Monthly programme updates and CE impacted programmes were provided in Asta powerproject. These were supplemented by individual delay reports and project progress reports.
