Astor College

Overview
The refurbishment and extension of UCL’s Astor College has brought the halls of residence up to a modern standard for those attending university for the first time from September 2018. Works carried out by contractor Galliford Try include the remodelling of the floor plan to create ‘cluster blocks’ to encourage communal living. Increased space and en-suite facilities are provided in the bedrooms, recreational facilities on the ground floor an integrated café and improved public realm.

The development includes some of the latest sustainable technologies such as ‘BluRoof’ to improve drainage and water retention.
