Chase Farm Hospital

Overview
The £150m redevelopment of the Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield delivered by the contractor Integrated Health Projects – a consortium led by VINCI Construction and Sir Robert McAlpine took just 4 years to complete from a standing start. It was opened on programme in July 2018.

It has provided the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust with a new-build 5-storey building and energy centre. The new facility comprises an urgent care centre, inpatient unit, 8 theatres, a day surgery unit, outpatient ambulatory care zone, imaging facilities, diagnostics and supporting facilities.

Planancy Role
Planancy was commissioned jointly by the mechanical contract (Norstead) and the electrical contractor (W Portsmouth) to produce a combined M&E installation and commissioning programme and thereafter to monitor progress and report on variance against the baseline programme.

Outcomes
Monthly reports including progressed programmes in Asta powerproject, project dashboards and resource histograms. Planning support was provided at monthly meetings with the main contractor.
